Crypto industry in focus: insights from MONETORA CONF 2026
On March 14, 2026, CEO Tatyana Ravinskaya and manager Yana Zholobova took part in MONETORA CONF – one of the largest crypto events of the year in Belarus.
The conference brought together representatives of the crypto industry, traders, investors, crypto funds, infrastructure providers and Web3 companies. It served as a platform for sharing experience, building partnerships and discussing the technologies that are shaping the digital asset market across the CIS region.
Several practical insights shared by the speakers stood out to us.
How to identify promising crypto projects
According to Nikita Protashchik (Criptohodi), early participation strategies remain highly relevant in 2026, including airdrop models and active involvement in project communities.
Key factors to consider when evaluating a project:
• no token issued yet
• backing from major crypto funds (such as Andreessen Horowitz or Dragonfly Capital)
• strong technological foundation
• active and engaged community
• moderate level of competition
A separate emphasis was placed on working with primary sources such as official websites, Discord, X/Twitter, as well as specialized media and analytical tools.
Capital preservation strategies
Andrey Yusuf offered an interesting perspective on the market, focusing on an “antifragile” strategy for the 2026–2029 period.
Key ideas:
• control portfolio drawdowns (ideally no more than 10%)
• use hedging instruments such as short positions, options and prediction markets
• allocate part of the portfolio to tokenized gold
• focus on a limited number of assets — typically 3 to 6 coins
The core principle highlighted on stage:
it is not about making fast gains, but about building a sustainable long-term strategy for preserving and growing capital.
For the BeginTimes team, participating in such events is an opportunity to stay closely aligned with the evolution of the crypto industry, explore emerging financial infrastructure models and better understand how digital assets will be integrated into the payment systems of the future.
