A personal challenge: 16 hours on blockchain for the ministry of economy
At the end of last year, BeginTimes CEO Tatyana Ravinskaya delivered a course on blockchain and cryptocurrencies for colleagues from the Ministry of Economy and the National Bank. Tatyana shared her experience and key takeaways:
This was truly a significant personal challenge that pushed my boundaries!
For years I postponed public speaking - choosing coaches, training programs and even turning down conference invitations for “a thousand subjective reasons.” And then this happened: a topic closely aligned with my economic expertise and immediately 16 hours of lectures! I was incredibly lucky with the audience - engaged, supportive and open. I truly hope it was interesting and useful!
The main takeaway: if you want to speak publicly, you have to speak publicly. You can spend endless time selecting coaches and courses but nothing replaces real practice.
What was the course about?
The program offered a structured overview of blockchain technology and digital assets as part of the modern financial system. It covered:
▫️ foundations: what blockchain is designed to solve and how it addresses the issue of trust;
▫️ token landscape: from utility tokens and stablecoins to NFTs and their practical applications;
▫️ regulatory frameworks including accounting and taxation;
▫️ cryptocurrencies: evolution, operating principles and potential for cross-border payments;
▫️ infrastructure: types of crypto platforms, their functions and associated risks;
▫️ market analysis, investment strategies and mining in Belarus;
▫️ global trends: central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and asset tokenization.
Many thanks to BSEU and personally to Olga Anatolievna Morozevich for the trust and this invaluable experience! Special thanks to Tatyana Kutynko for her support in preparing materials!
